Youth Ministry

The mission of St. Clement of Rome Youth Ministry is to anchor St. Clement teens in the truth and mission of the gospel by providing personal, communal, and sacramental encounters with Jesus Christ.

We envision a spirit-led ministry where teens wade into the depths of the Catholic faith sharing it with their families, communities, and beyond.

Since 1998, St. Clement of Rome Youth Ministry has existed to serve high school and middle school teens of the parish. All teens are welcome to encounter a life of fun and freedom in Jesus Christ in a community that feels like home.

Regular Programming

High School Ministry

Youth Group takes place on Sunday and Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. in the Youth House (immediately south of the rectory). Programming ranges from social nights and fun outings to Bible studies and formation nights.

Middle School Ministry

Throughout the school year, 6th-8th graders can join us in the gym from 7:00-8:15 p.m. for Search Nights. These nights include games, pizza, and a short prayerful reflection.

Adult Volunteers

Are you enthusiastic about your faith and looking for a joyful, life-giving volunteer opportunity? Adults of all ages and abilities are invited to journey with teens through serving on the Core Team. Members attend youth group nights, help plan programming and events, and share their faith with teens. Contact Laura, Director of Youth Ministry, for more information.

Annual Events

LUKE18 Weekend

A highly encouraged retreat for 8th graders! High school leaders guide 8th graders in a transformational weekend of high-energy activities and an opportunity to encounter Christ in their own lives. Great for high school service hours and a wonderful opportunity for 8th graders to see what high school youth ministry is all about.

Service Week

Teens seek to be the hands and feet of Christ as they serve communities in need domestically or internationally for a week each summer. Lots of fun and meaningful experiences await every teen. Great for high school service hours!

Summer Camp

Every summer, teens hop on a bus and make their way to Georgia for summer camp. For our high schoolers, there is Camp Covecrest. For rising 6th and 7th graders, there is Camp Hidden Lake. Both of these camps are wonderful opportunities for teens to encounter Christ through high energy activities like white water rafting, as well as daily opportunities for the sacraments, and personal prayer.

Steubenville Conference

On this high-energy gathering of thousands of teens from around the region, teens are invigorated in their faith through fun activities, inspirational messages, live music, and much more. This is the weekend that has sparked true faith, vocations, and friendships for countless teens over the years. Steubenville takes place at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri each July.

Fall Retreat

High school teens rest and rejuvenate their faith and friendships at Fall Retreat mid-way through the fall semester. With programming planned by adult leaders, this weekend always feels like home away from home. Fall Retreat is held at a local retreat center each year.
