Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is integrally tied to the sacrament of Baptism. For adults who are to be baptized, they also receive the sacrament of Confirmation at the same time. In the case of infants and young children, the sacrament of Confirmation is given at a later time (sometime after they have attained the "use of reason") and can freely choose to receive this sacrament.

This sacrament completes Baptism in the sense of calling the person to a fuller living of the Christian life. God initiates the action with an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the sacrament.
The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated each spring in the parish church. A Confirmation meeting is held in January to present the program to parents and students in 7th grade. We offer classes during the school day, within the PSR program, and an evening class for private school students.

For more information contact Barb Yoffie at 822-1903.

Adults: Adults who are not yet confirmed are invited to call the parish office for information.
